The bunches are medium large, cramped. The grains are round, often deformed because of the bunch. The skin is stringy, yellow and green. This variety is used for making high quality dry white wines.
 
  • Muscat Otonel - a white variety of grapes. Popular throughout Bulgaria. The leaves are small, reddish. The bunches are small, medium cramped. The grains are small, round, yellow and green. Muscat Otonel is used for making high quality dry and sweet white wines of pleasant aroma.
 
  • Merlot - a red variety of grapes. Popular throughout Bulgaria. The leaves are lare, the bunches are medium large and cramped. The grains are small to medium sized, round. The skin is medium thick, stringy, dark blue and black. The Merlot variety is used for making high quality red wines.
 
  • Pinot Noir - a white variety of grapes. It is popular in the areas of Sliven and Jambol. The bush is of high osier growth. The flowers are hermaphroditic. The leaves are medium large. The bunches are small and cramped. The grains are small, oval, often deformed. The skin is medium trick, stringy, dark bluish to almost black, with waxy coating. The variety is not demanding in terms of water and soil. It is used for making light red dry wines of pleasant fruity aroma.
