Top 10 investor-countries in Bulgaria for the period 1992-2006
Top 10 investor-countries in Bulgaria for the period 1992-2006 were awarded at an official ceremony, 15 February 2007. The event was jointly organized by InvestBulgaria Agency and Banks Investments Money Magazine. The purpose was to encourage the investments in the country as well as recognize the states that have contributed most, by companies, persons and institutions, to the revival of the Bulgarian economy.
The ranking of the top ten investor-countries in Bulgaria for the 15-year period is based on statistical data provided by Ministry of Finance (1992-1998) and Bulgarian National Bank (1999-2006). As to the total volume of investment for this period, the top investors are Austria, Belgium & Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA.
